Therapies
Difficulties we can help with
The Clinical Psychologists at New Meanings Psychology provide effective and high-quality evidence-based psychological therapies. Our core training as Clinical Psychologists means we have expertise in a number of different approaches for a range of difficulties. Post-qualification we have all developed additional specialities and undertaken additional advanced training.

The aim of therapy is often to reduce distress and enhance emotional well-being. This of course has a different meaning to each person, so we have grouped some examples of issues we typically work with below.
We frequently work with people to address the following issues on an individual basis*:

-
Depression (acute and long-standing)
-
Anxiety (social anxiety, health anxiety, general anxiety)
-
Trauma (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Complex/ Chronic Trauma)
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Bereavement
-
Attachment and childhood issues
-
Self-esteem issues
-
Issues around difference & diversity
-
Negative experiences around Culture, Racism and Stigma
-
Existential issues (feeling stuck, unable to find direction in life)
-
Neurodiversity (Autism Spectrum Conditions, ADHD)

*This list is not exhaustive and we are open to discussing your situation and needs.
