Our Philosophy
Our Core Principles
At New Meanings Psychology, we are focused on your well-being. We take a person-centred approach along with evidence-based psychological therapies to help individuals make changes in their life.

Our practice is based upon our core principles:
-
Placing care and compassion at the heart of our practice
-
Respecting and being mindful of the different lives our clients have led
-
Always thinking of you as an individual with the right to freedom, choice and dignity.
Your well-being is at the core of everything we do, but this doesn't mean we shy away from the difficult conversations. We will however, always do this with compassion, care and sensitivity.
The Therapeutic Relationship
We know here at New Meanings Psychology that it isn't just about the type of therapy you choose, it is about who you chose. Your therapist needs to get you, where you're from and your story. These things are essential to any relationship, and therefore we understand how vital they are to a therapeutic relationship.

We place great importance on understanding you and getting to know you. Our belief is that the greatest change takes place when you know, trust and feel safe with your therapist.
Therapy as One Part of Your Life
Therapy can often be a life-changing experience and leads to a whole new world of possibilities. However, we also realise that well-being doesn't just come from psychological therapy. It is one piece of a bigger picture. At New Meanings Psychology we support you through therapy to make changes in other parts of your life; relationships, family life, work, hobbies and interests.
